Michael Patrick Band

In 1989 the journey began for the Michael Patrick Band releasing their first CD.

Produced by Stacy Heydon of David Bowie fame, Sheriff and Teenage Head.

The special guests that contributed their amazing talent to the CD included Rik Emmett from Triumph, Danny McCafferty from Nazareth, Jimmy McCarty from The Rockets, Mitch Ryder and Cactus, Johnny Bee from The Rockets, Mitch Ryder and The Howling Diablos as well as Lou Pomanti and Bill King for their outstanding keyboard skills.

The video for "Welcome To My Life" the bands ballad was shot over a 6 week period at various locations and premiered on the nations music station Much Music in late '89. The response was outstanding and it went into full rotation.  Another song called "So He Runs" was gaining popularity in Florida promoting the state’s anti-drug campaign at the same time.

The band toured and opened for national acts B.T.O., Honeymoon Suite, Glass Tiger, and Mick Taylor from the Stones on his solo project to name a few.

After a rigorous schedule of recording, touring and promoting the band took a break.

With the advent of the internet and industry advances another journey began for the band.

The Michael Patrick band gains popularity on myspace.  They have over 5000 friends and 100,000 + plays of their songs on the myspace music player achieving the number one spot in the indie overall artist category on the Canadian charts.  Four of their songs stand in the top 4 positions on the myspace Canadian indie classic rock song chart.
